UNIT OBJECTIVES (Task 6)



Earth Science:
1.) After participating in the lectures, labs, viewing the videos, and debate, students will be able to identify the areas of the Earth which natural gas is deposited, the locations of major deposits within the United States.
2.) After participating in the lectures, labs, viewing the videos, and debate, students will be able to construct a visual expression of their knowledge on the subject of Hydraulic Fracturing, and the processes involved in extracting fossil fuels.
3.)  After listening to a lecture, students will be able to define the phrase “carbon footprint”, and describe the effects of increasing or decreasing the same on the global ecology.


Physics:
1.)  After conducting internet research, students will be able to list several specific examples of energy conservation strategies.
2.)  After completing an inquiry investigation students will be able to define the relationships between force, pressure and work.
3.)  After listening to a lecture and reading a related section of their text, students will be able to apply Pascal's Principle to solve problems involving pressure transfer.
